The recent heavy rains and high winds have cause damage to signs (street, yield, stop, etc.) and poles in our Association.
If you notice a damaged sign or pole in your community, please report this by visiting our website (GHPOA.com) and selecting the “Contact Us” link at the upper right of the page. You may email your neighborhood Director or complete the “Contact Us” form which will notify our management company.
Thanks for your assistance in keeping our Association looking its best!
IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM GEIST PATROL!
ONGOING DOG INCIDENTS
Geist Patrol has advised us that the Association continues to have incidents of dogs not being controlled or contained within GHPOA.
Per Indianapolis and Fishers ordinances, it is the responsibility of pet owners to maintain control over their pets at all times.
Violations of this city ordinance may result in warnings, citations, or fines. In addition, in the event of an incident, owners may be held liable for damage or injury.
The City of Lawrence ordinance states that it is unlawful for any animal not to be under the control of the owner. Animals not under the control of the owner are declared a nuisance and the owner is subject to fines of up to $150 per offense. In addition, in the event of an incident the owner may be held liable for damage or injury.
Thank you for your cooperation in adhering to this ordinance.

With almost 2,400 homes and an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 residents, our Association is about the size of an average American small town.
While Geist Patrol Officers are armed and have full police powers, they do not have the ability to act in certain situations unless they receive a call asking for assistance. A resident must call 911 or Geist Patrol and request an Officer be dispatched to investigate.
Here are some steps we can all take to keep GHPOA safe:
While the homes in our Association continue to be among the safest in Indianapolis, looking out for each other and immediately contacting Geist Patrol are steps we can all take to minimize crime in our 12 neighborhoods.
GHPOA budgets over $15,000 per year for maintenance on our poles and signs. We are asking for your cooperation in not taping notices of garage sales, lost pets, items for sale, etc. on the poles. When the tape and sign are removed, the tape removes the paint finish from the poles which increases our yearly maintenance cost. If you need to advertise a garage sale, etc., we ask for your cooperation by using a yard sign which you may push into the grass. Thanks for partnering with us to maintain the appearance of our Association!
While, to this point, no burglaries have been reported in GHPOA, Geist Patrol has notified us that a group of professional burglars is active in the surrounding area.
We are urged to take the following precautions:
