An Important Safety Reminder From Gest Patrol

Safety Reminder: E-Bikes & Rules of the Road

With more children riding e-bikes in our neighborhood, it’s important to remember that the same traffic laws apply. Please remind kids to always stop at stop signs, obey speed limits, and watch carefully for vehicles and pedestrians.

For added safety, children are encouraged to wear helmets and protective gear such as closed-toe shoes and reflective clothing while riding. These precautions not only reduce the risk of injury but also help riders stay visible and safe.

Let’s all work together to ensure our children ride responsibly and follow the rules of the road.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM GEIST PATROL!

IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM GEIST PATROL!
ONGOING DOG INCIDENTS

Geist Patrol has advised us that the Association continues to have incidents of dogs not being controlled or contained within GHPOA.

Per Indianapolis and Fishers ordinances, it is the responsibility of pet owners to maintain control over their pets at all times.

  • When walking your dog, it must be under your control at all times and secured on a leash.
  • If in your yard, your dog must be chained or behind a fence. The use of an electric fence may not meet the requirements of the city ordinance.

Violations of this city ordinance may result in warnings, citations, or fines. In addition, in the event of an incident, owners may be held liable for damage or injury.

The City of Lawrence ordinance states that it is unlawful for any animal not to be under the control of the owner. Animals not under the control of the owner are declared a nuisance and the owner is subject to fines of up to $150 per offense. In addition, in the event of an incident the owner may be held liable for damage or injury.

Thank you for your cooperation in adhering to this ordinance.
