An unattended, unlocked car was left running in a driveway and was stolen. Geist Patrol is working with IMPD and are actively investigating this incident.

To minimize the risk of being the victim of a car theft, Geist Patrol encourages all property owners to do the following:

• If possible, keep your car locked when left running and unattended.
• Lock all vehicles parked outside and remove all valuables (computers, packages, guns, cash, cameras, etc.)
• Immediately report all suspicious vehicles or persons to Geist Patrol by calling 317-842-8082. Their phones are answered 24/7/365.
• Leave on all exterior lights from dusk until dawn.
• Please keep your garage door closed when possible and use a custom code for your garage door opener.
